Coastguard Small Boat Safety Day today

For any interested, the Coastguard will be hosting a Small Boat Safety event today at the Coastguard Station Near Broadway in South Portland today.

It's a Free event with Vendors and Demonstrations from 10 to 3pm today - I won't be there as I actually have to WORK, but it usually full of good information - and it's Free.

News reports were somewhat vague, but I think I heard that they were blasting off a bunch of flairs around 3, but I could be wrong about that.

I hope you all have a FABULOUS Day today!

Hi Steve,
I see this is your first post! Welcome to the forum.

This was at the Riotel in Matane.
The room was very nice and the rest of the food was excellent
First course:

Not sure what was in it as I have forgotten every bit of french I ever learned in high school, but very delicious- it was tough not to finish it so I could save room for lobster
Dessert course:

Breakfast (I couldn't finish it- still full from the night before)

The views behind the hotel (probably even better when the sun is shining!)

The room rates were $109 for street side, $119 for ocean side and the package added $100 and included both meals and all tips.

Ok, back to sorting pics so I can put my RR together (about 500 pics between two cameras- maybe the rain on Sunday was a good thing as it saved me from taking a couple of hundred more)

Don't believe you, there are no pictures to prove it happened.

Have fun. :)

The riding up here is way too much fun to be stopping for pics.

It definitely does not suck

Just talked to Keith at Woodys..he sat on the bike at the show but no demo rides yet. He said it is impressive and they certainly developed the engine to be used in multiple platforms..$8,000 is pretty cheap for a bike.

He did say that because the US Dollar is gaining strength again that Yamaha will be dropping US prices for 2014 by about $1,000 on a lot of bikes.

He also mentioned Yamaha is working on 8 new bikes to be released in the coming years...here's to hoping for something besides cruisers and rocket's

Keith insisted I take the new Yamaha Bolt for a test ride...couldn't find the friggin pegs Fun little bike for ripping around town.

Man it's quiet around here

Took Ginger for a ride up to Moody's for pie last night, poked around some back roads in Nobleboro. Old County road was interesting 2-up. When it went from gravel to 2 track I gave her the option to turn around but assured her the GPS said it went through..it did

Not a lot of other places that are open in the evening that have as large of a pie selection, and it was pretty good too.
