Yes so do I (use a pit bull) but that won't do you much good on the side of the road with a flat. I held off on getting one for my KLR because I was a 'dirt guy' and poo hoo'd center stands.

Now .... love my center stands.

We do! I rode 1800 miles this week but those were all out and back day trips. Now that i have a bike again that has some legs, i plan on doing some much larger adventures. My wife is new to riding so I've been trying to plan rides that keep her out of any major traffic snarl areas and continue to build her skills and enjoyment. She does great with off road skills since she grew up with it, so its just a matter of gaining road time and skills.

We are doing the TAT next year and have that time scheduled. Also are going to new mexico in 3 weeks and ive got some bikes rented for that, which should be good. Ive been reading up on gaspe rides as well. Id be interested in any group rides whenever you guys are out and about.

Off for a quick ride to recalibrate KLX for cooler temps before my day starts. :)

You don't need no stinking center stand...

Just travel with 2 other people all of the time and you'll be fine.

Haha. Color blindness got me there an i missed the txt you highlighted. I get your point with the centerstand and agree they are priceless roadside.

I see it hanging there all ugly and lonely and fairly unused and it always makes me think. Buhbye. Thanks for pinching me back to reality. :)

Dude. You just bought a VStrom. One of the Ugliest bikes on the planet (remember that I own one or two so I get to say that). Where do you get off thinking about a centerstand being unsightly????

One of these days I'll have the right bike with me.

Kentucky is cool!

The back way into West Virgina from Kentucky keeps you busy... for hours.

Pennsylvanians know how to cut a road. Actually, I think these things had some time travel characteristics considering my run home from here didn't take long.

:) it was just a passing thought. Just finished all my lunchtime projects and its even uglier with the crashbars. But thats ok, because it looks good from the seat out when riding it.

And THAT is why I own one (or two depending on how you keep score - My Son no longer lets me ride the 650)

Yeah, I'm about to own two as well. Its amazing that if you shop around its possible to get two wee's slightly used for the price of one fancier brand bike.
