Yeah, that's ridiculous and prolly about 170hp.

I was talking more about the 100hp dual sport motorcycles built in recent years for the masses. People now have to worry about tire wear and magical traction.

It's a good time to be alive and riding motorcycles!

That is why I have always been partial to high torque motors like the XR/R's and the LC8.

Torque equal hookup, HP equals spin.

IMHO

The guy on the R1 looks like he's having a heck of a time though.

They must break that out for planting season.

That's some crazy sheet right there! I'm glad I'm all growed up when I see stuff like that... Not quite as much chance of trying to replicate it...

Mid '80's CR500 or KX500 will give near the same thing.

Safety harness recommended.

True dat!

Hard thing about the 500 was guessing when the power was going to hit and then holding on to the fucking thing. Power to weight was stoopid!

Local guy goes to work for KTM

This is interesting (to me anyhow). My Tucker Rocky (giant motorcycle parts and gear distributors) representative for the past many years, is now the KTM regional sales manager dude for the Northeast USA.
It would be hard to describe just exactly how nice a guy, Scott Buxton really is. Scotty is an expert moto-crosser, long-time veteran of the industry, and is held in high regard by motorcycle shop employees across northern New England.

I wish him the very best in his new job.
