No I don't know the guy but I did a search in Yahoo for Waipahu Saiga Shotgun and there is a company in Waipahu that manufactures parts for Saiga shotguns.

Good Luck!

Non Harley Rental

just rented a bike for next Wednesday at Big Island Motorcycle. They currently have a Yami Fz 600 and a Honda Shadow 600. Said he is getting a few others soon... SV650, probably some Harley's due to demand.

Located in Waikola (kings place mall) north of Kona, well before Hapuna beach.

Dual Sport Ride 7 March

Just got an e-mail from Gasser:

After inhaling many mosquitoes huffing and puffing with a machete hacking dense Guava jungle muddy pig trail tunnels wide enough for dirt bikes to squeeze through, I got some world class kick your ass trails laid out that pop in an out of the jungle on to the undulating suspension demanding Puna pahoehoe & a'a' lava coastline with big wave timed sections, deep sand and lava rock studded Iron wood forest sections that will test your motorcycle and riding skills.

Lay under your pick up truck, grab the rear axle and start bench pressing it to get ready for this ride!

Plenty of water and fresh tires with lot's of anti flat baby powder on the tube's is a must.

And don't let the CRF450X in the pic fool you, that Sumbeotch has a '09 Plated XC 200W...

So Cowboy Up! you hawaii ADVrider lurkers, there's a good ride in the works!!! Having to Mow your Lawn is NOT an acceptable excuse!!!!

PS: If you haven't heard the 2010 MK200 has been cancelled some serious issues with the Dept. of Land and Natural Resources severed the juglar this year.....

Took a Look See with Gasser

I had a someplace to be this morning on the West side of the rock so I wrote off riding today, ended up getting home at about 3:00 and thought I could get out to Puna to see what Gasser had planned for his Dual Sport Ride.

Load up and call the man "Gasser, Robert, I want to come out and check your route".

G: "I just got home from a circle island tour on my streetbike (I forgot what the damm beast is but it's fast!) so I'm chillin but you can park at my house".

I pull up on his road and he's doing hot laps around his yard on his 200.

G: "I'll go with you, I just want to move a couple of rocks and the trail will be ready for the first part of the ride".

I should have known, we're grunting and groaning 20 minutes later pushing 150 lbs "rocks" a.k.a. BOULDERS around to make a trail from the coast up to the start of the "trail" he picked out. TG I brought the Scorpa, that's some gnarly stuff!!!

Peek at what's in store for the DS Gang:

From what I saw I think it's safe to say that the ride will be a bit challenging.........

They gave it their all

They gave it their "traction all"
Never letting the fast rider fall

Hooking up at insane logical speeds
Supplying riders adrenalin needs

Always had to work on any Sunday
Power washed and pumped up on Monday

Lived on hot tarmac or greasy shop floor
Spun on dirt, mud, rocks, roots and more

Now devoid of tall crisp traction knobs
They lay rock scarred as only flat blobs
