had to keep an eye on driveways in parts, but other traffic was scarce

Anyone doing the Kauai Labor Day Hare and Hound this year? About to ship the bike on Wednesday. Getting over there Thursday night. Race is on Saturday. Planning on also riding on Sunday if anyone is up for it.

I wish, I haven't been on a MC since the MK200, only fun thing in the immediate future is that my paddle board finally get's here in about a week and I can paddle the Rhine River....

Good luck!!! I'm sure it will be brutal. Did you get Gary, Kim and Christina to join you?

Yes Tantalus is alot of fun. Love the curves and the view from the top. A very technical road as well.

I was up there one Sunday, passed a group of about 10-12 motards at one of the lookouts, they came zooming up when I was on my way back down. It was raining off and on, too, so it was wet. They were hitting it pretty hard.

True D'at, a friend of mine laid his Brown UPS Package Car (as they call them in the industry) on it's side up there, he was training another driver at the time, not sure if the other guy managed to duplicate the technique...

It was Round Top Drive in around '78 or so that inspired me to get a RD400F, I was blasting around in my Twin Weber, Camshafted, Koni Shocked, Sway barred, lowered, Minilite Wheeled, etc. Fiat and got passed by a tricked out RD400 and that got me headed to my first street bike purchase.

Aloha, SEThumper or is that "guten tag mein Herr". Dude you seriously need to get yourself at least a street bike to ride while your over there, ... For God's sake the Sudtirol/Dolomiten and Tuscany will greatly help alleviate some home jones.......... just a little cooler weather

I loved the Tantalus while I was there but you'd have to ride a couple of times to quench the thirst I never saw a cop on that road but had to compete with numerous kids on Skate Boards especially on those blind corners, That and Kaena Point were my Zen spots.

I have a spare KDX 200 that I'm willing to loan out for anyone visiting Oahu. It's a good bike and I choose it over my KTM occasionally.

Dammo if I had known I might get some riding in I would have scheduled things differently. We're only on Oahu for the flights in and out of Kona. Hawaiian singletrack would be incredible.
