Tell us more about the bike - I'm not familiar with it. How much gear are you going to pack? What is your daily mileage goal? This looks like it could be a really interesting ride report!

Interesting is what it is about I guess.

The bike is made by the Genuine Scooter Company in the U.S.

Great bikes, this is my third.

Off on a 90 ride to Seattle today to get her tuned up...

I think I've seen you at the intersection of 104 and 19 (where the main road out of PT Ts into what most think is 101 on the way to the bridge). I thought "man, that guy--and his passenger--are nuts to be on the highway on that thing!"

From what I saw--or didn't really see--I'd highly suggest getting a fair amount of hi-viz gear because small, slow and black is a great way to get some jackalope texting-while-driving up your ass.

Something to think about, why not a bit of an extra step and go to Oly and then take all of 101. You'll head north and near-miss PT, I know, but if you make it to SLO you won't be too far from the southern end of 101. It could be a "101 on a 50" kinda thing.

Also, south of Ferndale, CA, is a "town" called Cape Town. Google it, the roads from Ferdale to Cape Town and then to Redwoods are really great and would be a shame to miss.
