What's the word on the street?

Seems like it's west of Atsion Lake, lots of high wind tonight..

Damn I hope they can control it with the high winds. I just got inside it is nasty out there!

they think they will have control tomorrow but also understand that several hundred more acres will burn because of the high winds.

It seems to be the same area that burned last year at this time.

That map appears to be last years. I believe this started on the west side of 206 and moved east over 206 into last years burn.

last I heard tonight..

1800 acers burnt
fire jumped 206 and is heading west
40% containment
206 is closed in both directions

Anyone been down there? I may take the Jeep down this weekend and check things out.

you can smell it in atlantic city i went by yesterday at 330 and 206 was still shut down and sounded like it will last this weekend

Aparantly the fire trucks are having a tough time getting back there. That area has some of the deepest sand around. I wonder how those firetrucks handle whoops!
