Great ride report. Reminds me why I don't miss living/riding in Chicago (weather sux most of the time). Looking forward to your next report.

Heck Jena,
Your report reminds me of my frozen trip about Lake Superior just last Sep/Oct. Wrong move. Lot's of rain getting to Northern Minnesota and woke up at Thunder Bay with ice all over the bike. Ste St Marie with ice on bike. Cold front snuck up on me. Could not wait to get my Cajun Butt around and headed South very fastly. Thanks for all the time and efforts to do the report and pictures.

Thanks for the great RR! Enjoyed the read. All my trips to Canada in the past have been in the cage. Working on a bike that will get me up there and have a real adventure when I return!
I was curious about the IMO on the dash, and found it over at Touratech. That's what I like about looking at stuff - I learn new things. Do you prefer it over a GPS unit on the dash?

Great rr. Laughed out loud more than once.
I have a solution for your health insurance problem. Move to Canada. With your sense of humour you'd fit right in, and we'd be glad to have ya. You'll pay that $400 a month in taxes instead of insurance, but you won't be denied coverage. |

hey y'all
Thanks for still reading this sucker!!! And Green, I've thought about that more than once!!! Thanks for the invite. rag, I had the ST dash on there and hated it, it also didn't work and I found the IMO on ebay for 200 clams!!! Couldn't pass it up and have no GPS to compare it to. Heard they were starting to pave 389 and the trans lab, so get yer butts up there!!

Two years later and it still works
With some 20,000 commuter miles and barely an overnight stay, you've helped me to realize how pathetic my excuses sound to myself. I've got 9 days off coming right around the corner and the weather is just about right for some over the road travel. I gotta get offa my ass before I no longer can. Thanks for sharing & inspiring.

I stumbled onto both your RRs in your sig line from following Doug's Garage thread.
You seem pretty cool so I clicked on both. I'm glad I did!!! Great job!!!

I like your style
I have seen your post in the D.O.G.S. and thought " that's cool maybe I see her one day" and read your report. If I ever get off the boat I am on maybe I can ride too , but for now a good report like yours will do. It is your style.
