Held Hawk gloves
Just picked these up on fleabay. They're typical nice Held quality with Goretex and the Outlast phase change that I've come to love in winter gloves. They also pretty much have no protection whatsoever. a little bit of heavy padding on the wrist, and, that's about it. Frankly, they seem like budget gloves to me, even though they have some of the features I look for. They're built well, they just seem kind of cheap compared to some other high end gloves out there.
Who has these, and, what are your thoughts on protection and, how warm are they? I expect them to be great for my needs with heated grips and handguards, just a little concerned about the lack of protection. |

Hi,
Have a pair that I use in fall/winter(Central Cal winter) Agree with the relative lack of protection but the phase change works well. Have used them into the low 40's/high 30's without heat, they work great. JR356 |

I crash-tested mine twice - 1st was a 30-mph lowside with the GS on snow, 2nd was on the icy MI ski slopes. The gloves and my hands were just fine in both cases, and I'm still wearing the same pair. I'd say they provide adequate protection (didn't even lose any stitching), but I wish the gauntlet was about 1" longer.
