Great picture, thanks. That is exactly what I was hoping for. I'm thinking 8" Jessies to keep things tight.

I was all excited to order a Leo Vince can, but apparently they are discontinued. Guy at LV said they 'may' make some more (I'm sure after the special price offer runs out!).

So on to choice #2.

To LV for boning F8 owners, FYYFF's.

That explains the sweet deal I got through Sierra BMW - carbon LV for $298 to my door. I sure do like it. Thanks to all that posted their results which resulted in helping me decide. Maybe call them to see if they have any sitting around ... it was a deal to clear out inventory so who knows?

hopefully Scott will chime in on the news that LV is discontinuing the carbon exhaust for the F800 GS and add clarity. I'm somewhat under the impression that they are not throwing the F800GS under the bus as suggested above. Rather, they are coming out with newly designed exhaust for the F800GS.

This is correct.

Go to this page on Leo Vince's website: http://www.leovince.com/en/search.ph...parole_chiave=

You'll see that they still show the original aluminum and carbon SBK slip-ons, however you'll also see that they're now working on new carbon and steel slip-ons for the F800GS. They're calling them "LV One" exhausts.

So, you see, they're not stopping production of exhausts for the F800GS, rather killing the old models and coming out with new models.

PS So the point is that this lapse we're experiencing in Leo Vince product availability in the USA is only because Leo Vince is switching products for the F800GS. Leo Vince is in Italy. We're in the US. Things like this always take longer when that kind of distance separates manufacturer and consumer.

Odds are looking pretty good that we'll get stock on the CF and Aluminum cans by mid-December to hold us over until the new stuff comes out.

Sorry to be such an ass and impatient. You know the feeling, researching for hours, finally making a decision, then seeing discontinued.
I can wait a few weeks.

Griz, I never did find that web site in my search.

Scott, should I call to put an order in now. Send me a PM.
Thanks

Mark5PA, for what it's worth, it will be worth the wait. My LV carbon has great sound (no louder than stock but much nicer), looks terrific, and amazingly smoothed out the throttle surges. This was such an unexpected bonus. I don't even think about throttle on and throttle off anymore.

Beowulf sound

I have been told by a number of fellow Advriders now that the beowulf pipe I have i the nicest(best) sounding pipe under full noise(upper rev range) they have heard on a bike for a long time. This is with the baffle removed and is the short ti version (380mm).
Originally I kept the baffle in as it droned with the ear plugs I wore, and was fatiguing after half an hour. Change ear plugs and all good. The only problem is I have never heard it to compare or appreciate what they are telling me.

Somebody buy a Holeshot exhaust and record the sound ...love the looks of it, but I'm too shallow to buy it without hearing it first

I think you can only get them direct from the manufacturer in the UK

Exhaust optionfs for F800GS...

Spent a happy hour re-reading this thread, and just HAD to make a list for my own clarification; I'm an exhaust virgin (actually, that sounds weird!), so add/delete/modify to the list as necessary...:

Leo Vince
Beowulf
Two Brothers
Akrapovic
Remus
AC Schnitzer
Holeshot
Laser
MiVV
Twin Twalcom
White Brothers?
Hindle - coming soon?
SR-Racing (from Germany)

Cheers
