Guess I should have read the entire article
WTF could she have gotten tangled on And drowned that quickly? I'll never forget the first time I went cave diving with a pardner We were headed up stream and he kicked up a whole... I mean a WHOLE lot of silt in front of me Total Blackout

The first time I went cave diving was freakin' great
At low water there was a hole exposed along the Suwannee just north of Mayo The whole was wide but not verticle enough for me to get through with my tank on I harnessed it after I was totally in The cave immediately opened up large enough to have driven a car through With stalagtites and blind catfish Two friends fed me a 1/4 inch yellow nylon line that I'd brought A total of 200 feet I didn't realize that the caves there already had lines in them With little plastic arrows woven in pointing the direction out Way Cool!

Just up river was Telford Spring
It's a great spring to first dive About 300 feet upstream is another opening You can enter there and just float down towards the river without stirring up any silt

They are talking about it on a cave diving forum I belong to. Apparently someone (usually a drunk college kid) dies there doing the same thing pretty much every year. The NSS-CDS is going to put a warning sign up there this weekend, but I doubt if it will help. It doesn't in any of the other caves.
I've never been there so I don't know exactly how it's set up, but it sounds like there are a couple of 20-50ft swim throughs that people like to go through, but one of them doesn't actually lead back out. Sort of like that cavern at King's Spring in Crystal River. except that one is 40 feet deep. I've seen swimmers in there too. Not me. I've been 3/4 mile back in a cave before, but I'm always going to have (a minimum of) two big tanks full of gas as well as everything else I need to make it back out.

I make it a point to go into Publix on Thursdays
Look for the BOGOs that are sold out on items I buy and get rainchecks Within a couple of weeks coupons will come out on those items and with both discounts they really are a deal
