Glad to be back too Rick

Bush-hogged the garden this morning

Managed not to hit any valves or sprinkler heads

Bathed Chuck, he loved it

Being lathered-up and scratched over your whole body must not be too bad

Rode the Ranger to my cousin Melody's to get eggs. Three dozen for three dollars. Went through I'm guessing ten gates today traversing the farm. Too bad I don't own any of it

On my way back through the woods there were five yearling deer in one group along the old abandoned RR tressel. They went bounding off along the fenceline towards the pond here across the street.

Cooked Gilcrest sausage for me, my dad and my cousin Andy. Made jasmine rice pilaf along with bacon and tomato gravy. Used half olive oil and half bacon in lieu of how my mom would have done it; they didn't seem to mind one bit.

Funny that the stereo here in the apt. over the garage has the same speakers that I used to use in my 1980 olds cutlass; they're crankin'!

Clearest car stereo that I've ever heard. Infinity Infintesimals :sp

I'm thinking this old Yamaha receiver is 40w per channel and the matched Jensen system I had in my car was 30w per channel. But like I said it was a matched system; the receiver came with a detached amp. And in 1980 that was a rarity; clear as a crystral, even at full wide open

I have hooked these little bookshelf speakers to larger amps and they've been over-driven but with reasonably small amounts of power they'll make fun of anthing else their size.

Here they are:

Hey Alan, glad things are going smoothly & you're back.

I know you posted pics a good while back, but where is the farm? As in where are you posting from these days? IIRC that's your Dad's place, or am I thinking of a different farm.

Just checked the rain guage - since yesterday it's up to a little over 4 1/2" and reaching for 5. I think we are already supposed to be in our "dry" season.

Update on that rain guage - at about 10 PM I checked it and the new total for the two days of rain is up to 6.8" with no sign of let up.

I'm having to alternately bribe and/or drag the dog out to pee & poop between showers and thunderstorms or else he'll just stay in until he explodes. Damn hound will wade through puddles up to his belly without missing a step, but hates rain falling on his face and is skeered of thunder.

Yea Mark

My dad's place

west of Floral City

Gotten over two inches here in two days

Birds heavy in the field today

One golden and one bald eagle preying on them

Hailey was riding on the tailgate of my truck through the pastures

She had a great time

Took her into my great grandparent's house today

Cool two story five bedroom

There were five brothers and one sister that grew up there

It's only about three hundred yards from here

Cool, I remember the pics looked really good.

We're still getting hammered over here. A separate low system from the one tracking up the Gulf coast has spun up just off of Ft Pierce and is dragging the main rain band right up across here for the next 6-7 hours. Possible gusts from 50 -60 mph. Sustained wind here is about 25+, but way more gusty than earlier today and getting worse. Gusts now are hitting 40+.

I think the rain guage is up to 7.7 total for the weekend so far.
