Newman: Sometimes.
Jerry: Why is that?
Newman: Because the mail never stops. It just keeps coming and coming and coming. There's never a letup, it's relentless. Every day it piles up more and more, and you gotta get it out, but the more you get out, the more keeps coming in! And then the bar code reader breaks! And then it's Publisher's Clearinghouse Day...!
Jerry: All right, all right!

I saw a lot of leg warmers at Santos yesterday so I felt like less of a fag wearing mine under Thor baggies.
I guess I'll be a downhill poser on my mtn bike so I can use my current gear. Spandex give me the creeps

Glad I have a witness to the leg warmer thingy.. If your muscles get cold, the resulting cramps are unreal... BTDT..
Careful with that downhill stuff in Santos Jeff, Vortex free ride area is for the insanely good downhill riders who could do the X-Games too. The weekends brings them out and some of these guys are unreal and a blast to watch.

Spandex is actually comfy, the right butt-pad is the difference between a 6 mile monkey-butt or 60 mile comfy ride....
Never thought I would get into this MTB stuff as deep as I have, but I haven't felt this good and in shape in 25 years..

I said DH poser don't think I need to try it. I'm too broken as it is, just out to smell the roses and get some fresh air. Getting in Shape is my goal for getting a bike.
Wore my padded O'neal DH sorts under my Baggies. Can attest for the butt pad.
Maybe we need to do an XC trip this summer.

Bring it to the Scrub and we'll ride Santos for a few hours.. You'' be surprised how nice that area is right in your backyard..
You don't have to go crazy to enjoy a good ride in the woods using leg power for a change. I found riding my GS in the dirt a bit helped me a lot on the bike trails as the dynamics are the same. The big difference is that you have to use your legs, instead of a throttle, to power out of a situation. Using the brakes to control an MTB are the same as a dirt bike ...

Hey Alan, you talking about a dedicated biking area between Macon & ATL? I grew up in Macon and have been revisiting the area north of there since 2005 riding all the roads I missed back in the early 70s on my trusty Yammy DT 360. Haven't noticed any bicycle type parks. But I have found tons of good dirt roads.

Pengaleng has good stuff in his backyard, too. He & I once spent a day swapping trails we knew all up between Macon and points north.

But the big news is..... (and I hope I don't jinx this) Today I cured a fuel leak from the right carb, started the cure for clutch slippage induced by my stupid use of EC rated oil to flush the "new" donor motor, and rode the F 650 without incident for the first time since swapping the donor motor in back around New Years Eve.

I love the R80 ST. But the F 650 has better legs for long trips. I can say this after using the ST for getting to rallies form here to NC/TN and up to PA. And previously using the F 650 for many of the same trips plus a long haul to western OH once.

Woo Hoo! I'm getting happy for the first time in a long time.

Now to get the f*cking Jeep sorted out the way I want it.

Don't you wish you'd have come up with this idea?
