Nice shots of the Moodna Viaduct. Better than those in Michael Clayton. Nearby Moodna Creek is a gem for paddlin' when the water is high.

Looks like they finally paved Arden Valley Rd. Was rough as hell every time I rode it.

Had a great ride through the catskills yesterday with a new riding buddy. Unfortunately, I came in to work today to find out about a coworker's son who died yesterday in an accident on his motorcycle. See link if you are interested, and please forward this to young motorcyclists you may know. The rider was 22yrs old, rode an R1, and the accident happened in a 30 mph zone. Very sad. http://www.dailyfreeman.com/articles...e074508999.txt

Man, what a tragedy. My prayers go out to the family.

On a lighter note, Where did you guys ride yesterday? What routes did you take?

Went over the Kingston-Rhinecliff up 32, around saugerties, pallenville, W. saugerties back roads. Then up platte clove to hunter, down to phoenicia, in and around woodstock and back. Beautiful day and a great ride!

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum here and ride all around the Hudson valley so hopefully I can get in on a group ride. Seven Lakes Road thru Harriman is always nice but I've never done the twisties by West Point. I need a GPS and am getting one soon. I always like to read about good roads to ride.

Edit: Just rode rt 218 by the river starting south from 17K in Newburgh. After riding the white line past a row of cars to be the first at the light I had some guy cut me off then wave a knife at me. So I guess what I've heard about Newburgh is true. Nice road but the pavement isn't too good. Rt 97 is more betta.
