I've got an 1150 and I mounted it above the air box using a Kildala plate. Alternatives are the tool area, ABS pump (if you are sans ABS) or the document area if you have a 1200.

On the info bracket that's at the rear of the airbox. Fits well there.

2 things....

1 - Mac, that shit is bad ASS!!
2 - Tom at http://www.excelcyclewerkes.com/index_files/Page577.htm has an AWESOME kit. He actually has a stainless steel mount that mounts vertically on the screw that holds the manual holder under the seat. I installed mine this weekend. Comes complete with pre wired relay. Plus he's a great guy and great customer service.
