The perspective & sizing does not seem right, though I guess its taken through a long lens which can distort things.
I know its old, but trick photos have been around a long time.
Any photo experts?
If it makes any difference, I have two college degrees in Photography and I say it's a genuine period photo. The perspective is right on the money, so if it's a fake, it's a very good one.

It's very well hidden

I usually access it as follows:
1. Go to http://www.bmw-motorrad.de/
2. Under "Faszination", select "Unternehmen" (company)
3. On the RH side, "Zukunft hat Herkunft"

A direct link, dunno if this is persistant: http://specials.bmw-motorrad.com/com...tory_main.html

Very frustrating site. I don't read German, so I can't figure out how you got that great picture. There's someone with nice legs on a totally decked out /2 in here, but I can't enlarge or copy it.

... found another source: That is also where the above pic was found: http://www.bmw-grouparchiv.de/ (in that case, search for "R 68" ... and enjoy!)
