Looks like a KZ305CSR. I'm not a Kawasaki expert, but that's my guess based on looking at a few photos. Rad bikes and pretty rare, 6-speed gearbox, but only built for 2 years.

I bought one of these new in 1983 when I was 18 and just had moved to southern California and searched out all the good roads. My favorite day ride was heading to Big Bear from 29 Palms and down the mountains to San Bernadino and to the coast and back to 29 Palms. It was jetted so lean that it would take 10 minutes to warm up enough to move on those "cold" 40 degree winter days. But it got awesome mileage. Even completely flogging it up the mountain passes bouncing over the rev limit, you might have been able to get it barely below 70 mpg, mostly did closer to 90 mpg.

I would love to find...re-create, I suppose, those Suzuki jackets! Ron Grant, Nixon and a few others were photographed wearing them. Very cool.

I stumbled across The Internet K-Hole which is old scans of pictures from the 1960s to about 1992.

Careful at that site. Some are very NSFW (but the vintage Red Hot Chili Pepper photo was cool)

More stuff from the K-hole. It's 97% work safe, but there's a cock in a woman's mouth or hand for every monkey picture. I wonder how many times I can use that as a serious sentence again.
