http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum...ad.php?t=74022

Thank you Markham, for that bitch MPP Helena Jackek, sliding this one in to the system.

An Act to amend the Highway Traffic Act to prohibit the driving and operation of motorcycles with child passengers

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

1. The Highway Traffic Act is amended by adding the following section:
Prohibition of passengers under 14 years old on motorcycles
38.1 No person shall drive or operate a motorcycle on a highway if another person under the age of 14 years is a passenger on the motorcycle.
Commencement
2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

What a fucking cunt.

First reading only. We have to make a lot of noise to get it stopped. I'm calling my MPP tomorrow.

What about side-hacks?
You know, I'm getting worried about this slow tightening of our social freedoms. It's like a slow push of social engineering towards the nanny state where we won't be allowd to do anything, unless it's virtual on a friggin computer.

Next step might be to make it illegal for kids to ride in cars. Because cars are dangerous. And it should be illegal for them to walk outdoors. Because kids can get hurt there.

My daughter (6 years old) is ecstatic as she can now reach the foot pegs as pillion (the legal requirement for a passenger.)

She could still use a little growing, but next spring she wants me to take her to school on the bike.

I think I can manage that.

I wonder what the ruling on GPS's will be?

they are going to make any handheld electronics illegal in a car.

GPS's that stick to the windshield are still legal.

Now, I run a Garmin handheld on the bike, is it legal if it's attached to the bike?

Do our MP's not have better things to do?

And why do dumb laws that apply to Southern Ontario have to be applied up here, where we have one of the lowest population densities in the country?
