Anyone powder coated Touratech stainless pannier mounts?

I was thinking about powder coating my stainless steel Touratech bag mounts and wonder if anyone has done so? If so, did it create a problem to fit the bags due to reduced clearance on between the clasps on the panniers and the mount loops?

Question 2012 KTM 990 - powder-coat Touratech brackets?

Did you ever get anyone to reply to you? Or what did you discover about the powder coating on the pannier mounts? Did it affect clearances?

I just took all my newly delivered Zega Pro mounting brackets (3 pieces) to the powder coating shop. I have same questions about this as you did.

Anyone out there care to respond to experience with powder coating these parts?

I did contact and get an email back from Touratech, because I was wondering why they came silver when the panniers themselves are black. They said the parts are electro-polished and ready for powder coating.

My bike is 2012 KTM 990, blue, and some frame parts as you all know are orange and some of the subframe parts are black. So adding basically a third color of tube steel would look horrible, especially when the panniers are off the bike. Silver against blue background with a huge black seat? No, black is the right color for these parts and black they will be. Still would be nice to know others experiences.

My glossy black powder-coated TouraTech mounts look great and the black Zega Pro Panniers too.
