if it wasn't pure blasphemin'...... Katbeanz' XR675L motor would make that mucho fun.

Did something replace the Supertrapp yet?

Let's ride again!

Nope we finally did manage to tune the Supertrapp properly. Believe it or not it took MORE plates as part of the problem was too much back pressure. My pockets were not deep enough to get a stock exhaust for it as again that is another unobtainium part. this one was a bear cat to tune.

Charla, sure you can ride it and stare at it. I think maybe you have done so before in another life.

I hope to bring it home today and baby it a bit. It has been out of my sight for way too long. Then I will see how it runs (I have great confidence) and it can lounge with it's other m8tes in the stable.

Cheers.
Marc

Well I got 309's bike home, cleaned it up, gave it some love and went out for a short ride. All I can say is OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! It runs now. It is almost a problem keeping it off redline. Actually it is almost scary to ride now. which is a good thing.

I always wondered why the GB500 would not run as strong as my XR600 but now wonder why the XR is such a pig. I don't think the ton stands a chance now. On a closed course with a professional rider of course.

All 498cc and a whopping 38HP have been unleashed.

So I am in lust all over again.

It was made to commemorate the 1970's British (thus GB) bikes that ran in the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) race. It is styled to look like ??? a Norton or AJS or something of the time. It basically has an XR600 engine that is sleeved down to 500cc and electric start to boot.

I purchased it from a very lovely ADV inmate about a year ago and it seems to have never run perfectly for a very long time. It ran GREAT but stumbled above about 5K RPM, I think the very original owner, definitely not our beloved ADV rider did some things to it that were not becoming of such an engine. I had been looking for a nice one of these for over 5 years and this one is a peach.

So for a slow bike, that does not handle super good, and kills my back, but looks the bees knees I just LOVE it to pieces.

So that is the brief history of the Geeb and how it fell into my undeserving hands.

And another shot of the bike as i just cannot get enough of the looks of the thing.

Marc
They definitely were going after the AJS look with Geeb. That is a pretty bike, as was one of my favorites from the AJS line:

AJS is very close. I have no idea what it was actually designed around.

GB500: with a failed muffler experiment, Anyone want this muffler?

Velocette:

AJS:

Norton:

Or a combination of all of them ????

You recognize that Blake?

Another PO borrowed shot.

I need more pics of the Geeb out on the road. There is still riding to be done.
