I did not get the full kit as you can save heap buy shopping around

the fairing cost a whooping $1485 no joke the freight was $885 alone
the fairing was $600 .

I'm off to today to get quote for a modified copy ,

I'll be back ....

And... can I ask... how did you decide on the 525 as your bike of choice? Was it the best starting point?

Were there any other serious contenders? XR650?

Well took the day off work and headed out to valleyforce Husaberg

the fairing almost fits like a glove on the stock 09 450 a couple little trims hear and there, Now i must state the berg did not have a large tank , i believe Gary ( sarfari berg ) is getting them made . After that i drop the fairing of the the fairing joint to be quoted ,

Got the big bore kit home and strait in to it ,
First was to gap the rings , reading through the instructions , Bla bla bla
measure the cylinder 76mm devided by 25.4 x 0040 = .01189 and there's my ring gap ( ha ha very funny , homo ) grab the feeler gauges carfully slide the rings in the barrel ,................. spot on ,

keep reading through al the other instructions Hmmmm piston 12.5-1 Comp
Sweet ( i ordered1.0-1 comp it was cheaper ) first bonus

double check all the part , full gasket set , nice new 540 cylinder , jet kit 8 asorted main and pilot jet, Stage one HOT CAM ,

Hmmm i think to my self there no point installing this big bore kit unless i get
new valves , seats ,guides and springs , Shit more cash i gotta fork out

So the big bore kit will wait, Now time to get valves , seats ,guides and springs.

If your going to do some thing do right !!!

Well the 25L acerbis tank has landed picking it up tonight ,

also picking up a new camera today

so you will get to see what being done , the build starts Monday ( as i'm on holidays )might load some pic's of the parts tonight .
