Sierra Vista AZ Riders! Secret spot!
So right behind my house is this area slated to be developed.
Only it isn't developed.
And it's huge.
I just spent the last 2 hours having a redneck BLAST on the Katoomer riding around this place
It's about, oh, 10 square acres or so with lots of trails and jumps (!) and a big dirt road that rings the whole "playground." Big enough that I hit 70 mph and it wasn't scary.
It's a GREAT place to practice getting the bike aloft, getting comfortable backing it in on turns, and there are even technical bits -- in the center is a big deep/turned sandy area that is quite tricky to bounce through.
It's like a skatepark, only for dirtbikes. On the far side are trails that go on out into what looks like open range (?) and there is even access to ride up a huge concrete drainage canal.
I saw several other people there walking dogs, and did the good neighbor thing and asked them what the deal was -- they said it's been like this for a while and as far as anyone has ever been able to tell, the landowners have no problem with people using the area. There are plenty of other dirtbike tracks. There are zero "No Trespassing" signs -- and no fences!
It's big enough for my 950 no problem... I'm sure a GSA would have no problems either. It'd be a lot of fun with a trailbike.
If anyone wants to check it out this weekend, PM me and we'll get together! Perfect place to break in a new set of tires.
Beers afterwards at my place! (200 yards away!)

I'll be right there!!!
Just as soon as my Halloween hangover clears out!
Seriously though, if you don't wanna do the out east ride I'd be up for some dirt lot shennanigans.

That area's just BEGGING for an AZ Hooligan Mini TT race series!
Get some little bikes (TTR125s, XR100s) and have a blast goofin off with yer buds.
Works wonders for gettin comfy in the dirt. Check out the Rockies forums for ride reports on theirs.
Maybe, one day, when the whole of ADVRider has Hooligan Mini TTs, we can get a championship series going. THAT'd be a hoot!
There. I've moved back to VA. Can you PLEASE change the weather?!
