Ah so ... Maybe we should call the bike "Tumbleweed"...
He liked to nap on his side as well....

Well ya can see how hard he works that poor thing.. Yes it needs it's rest

Tumbleweed one of Audie Murphy's many good movies

Yeah. When I first bought the bike in November, I noticed the clock would reset often when starting which is characteristic of a low battery. I didn't know the age of the old battery (also an Odyssey) so I ordered one online and installed it. Easy simple job. I really need to put my fuseblock on since I have more items on the terminals than I'd like. Spring project for sure.

I had a blow out on a car tire on the way to work today. Had to take the car because despite only having 14,000 miles and regular chain lube and adjustment, the sprocket on my bike has worn out to the point of chain slipping and had a hard time getting me home from work yesterday.

This isn't normal, is it? To get punctures/flats in 3 tires a year while only driving 10,000 miles/year?

I dunno...I've got plugs in 3 of 4 tires on the cage...all within 6 months...I work from home so mileage is not a factor...what made me angry was they were New tires...Kumho nail magnets I call 'em...

Define normal in the Skippii world.

Nope. Generally, don't believe in bad luck or stuff like that. I'm just saying that statistically, I'm think I'm an outlier at luck.

The way it works is if you're out there living in the world getting into stuff, stuff is going to go wrong.

If nothing's going wrong, you're missing out on something.

If you can't live with that, you have to hide under a rock someplace.

I will say it seems Skippii has a few more mechanical woes than most of us...
I hope you get it sorted out buddy.
