Cool, maybe it was the kickstand switch, after all? Time will tell...
That's the only safety switch which affects engine running.
(unless you choose to refer to the ignition and kill switches as "safety" switches, but for us technicians that term usually applies to a switch operated by something other than direct manipulation by hand)

Bigger problems come when people rely on those safety switches to save them from their "oopsies"!

PS: if you come across any spare tuits in that shape, I'm always in need....

Muffler #2 has now been completed. Haven't painted this one yet, but needed to install it to go buy the hi-temp paint--and also because I was about to do an oil change but also realized I don't have an oil filter.

I'm really surprised how well this one works. Definitely quieter than before, and while the other one seemed to mostly attenuate the low end (giving it a harsh, abrasive tone) this one pretty much cuts all the highs, giving it a low rumble. Much better sound, and a good bit quieter. I'm happy.

Wait, you're doing track days with "TC"?

What track allows "TC" to run on it?

Jessayin'... I think it's cool you building "TC" and a muffler for it. You learn stuff, and a lot of stuff could be dumber!

Okay, I'll clarify.
TC came with no muffler. I made one yesterday for it.

This morning, I disassembled the muffler from the Ninja, made a new baffle from scratch, wrapped and packed it, and rewelded it.

My comments, which weren't directly related to each other, were supposed to say that I generally prefer stockers, but the weight was enough of an issue for me to change them, and stockers were never an option on TC.

Just got my Ninja inspected. :) took all of 3 minutes. Now to make some illegal mods to keep for the next year

(Going for HID headlights....the loud pipes save lives thing is complete BS, but I do believe aftermarket lights can save lives.)
