I have some other questionable qualifications, do any of these count?

Once rode the Poplar Lick ORV trail in Savage River SF on my RT. (Not a good idea)
Have components on my KLR made of wood, a shovel, a stop sign, and HVAC parts.
There are also parts from three other bikes and a boat.
Once banned from Bobs BMW for telling a story involving a scrotum and a tree.
Once totally dusted trying to keep up with Banshee. (in her former R Bike life)
Have driven a motorcycle into a lake.

Point me to the tag and I'll grab it as soon as I put the bike back together.
We need to ride together.

But I've gotta question your use of a stop sign.
Kind of a bad omen, isn't it?
I prefer a No Parking sign, as it inspires my bike to keep going, even if it wants to stop and break down.

The stop sign was cannibalized to make an aux light mount. Maybe having a stop sign on the front is sort of a deflector shield? I was not a fully converted KLR owner at the time, so I painted it. Now I wish I'd left it. I like the no parking skid plate. My shovel one didn't turn out so well, and I was looking for a new idea. Maybe a police vehicles only sign.

From what I've seen lurking the forum for a while, it is reasonably possible that I'm a distant relative to Skippii. The plate bracket, left hand guard, and mirror have fallen off the KLR. I've lost the left mirror, right side case, and a sleeping bag from my RT.

Likewise, valongbeard. It was a great day for an afternoon ride and it was a treat seeing someone ride gravel roads the way they must be meant to be ridden

Helped me gain a little more confidence with that kind of surface and with my new-to-me bike (and that big ol' 606!)

Looking to ride

Keep me in mind for any afternoon or weekend rides--I'm anxious to meet more CHs and keep exploring the area

There's still plenty of gravel west of Dayton if you want some easy practice. Let's look at the weather this week. If you want to learn right, you might want to look at some of these other fine fellows. I am still a novice myself.

Ya. But I am always afraid that you are asleep. Anyway, we were out to ride. We'll stop and pick you up next time.

Snobbies?

I got your snobbies right here! Pirelli MT43. First time for a trials tire. Yes, it is DOT. It's a hook-up!

Holy sidewall...

I just recently joined family off-road riders of prince william county. http://www.forpwc.com/
The club land is only 10 minutes from the house. I rode there today for the first time. Took the CR250 that has fresh knobs on it. Glad I did. It was so covered with leaves, wet, muddy, snotty, slick. Very sketchy.
The mud was so sticky, I had to get the pressure washer out to clean the bike when I got home. I think I spent more time cleaning then I did riding.
The trials tire would of been worthless! It would of packed up with mud and been like riding on slicks .
