Version is going to put up a tower in BurkesGarden real soon....
I use towers for our MiFi.. Right now our MiFi is 2 bars 3 on a good day..
But that new tower should really help in our area..
I think why we can't stay within the 5 gig... Use a lot a bandwidth to get signal..

I know, not every much of the state at all but what do I know...I have a Net 10 phone that has real good service all over...
I have a cabin between Franklin and Sugar Grove, WV and I know that the ONLY cell provider that has service in that area is AT&T. I have Verizon which goes dead heading west on Rt. 33 once you hit Rawley Springs. I wish I had AT&T.

Hey all.....thanks for the cell phone chatter....I'm not riding for about ~4 more weeks so I gotta do something....I'm still kinda shocked my penny pinching employer actually said yes to a Smart phone with unlimited data...with the amount of surfing time I've had lately my Ebay account is smoking....in my medication induced haze I have also convinced myself I need a MV Agusta F4....no a BMW S1000RR...no a Triumph Speed Triple.......

Sounds like me . . , until fiscal reality sets in, and I wake up after been clubbed by SweetBird. She says I've got enough motorsickles . . . .

IMO & FWIW - If you go, don't go on a weekend and expect to ride the Dragon at any kind of fun pace. It's a madhouse, especially in October. Weekdays are far better. I've been once in a car and once on a bike. The fun for me was over in no time. I like twisties, but this is just too much. 300+ curves in 11 miles and tons of weekend traffic. There are much more fun roads to ride in the area. But again, just my opinion. I'm sure some people love this stretch of road.

VLB..The best time to hit the gap is mid week ...
Oct weekend is full of leaf peepers....
And early morning 7 - 9 am... You have it almost to yourself....
And yes the photo takers are up early too ...
I'm not sure if Photo takers are there all week...
But ya might be OK early on the weekends...
At the times I said....

VA 16 is also a blast 3 mountains and 36 miles of tight twisties...

I feel like we've had this discussion before, but anyway...
I also use MiFi. I used to barely get 1-2 bars until i invested in $200 antenna/amplifier. I get 4-5 bars now. You can buy them locally at best-buy so if it *doesn't* work you can return it. Expensive, but for me it was necessary as I often needed to send large'ish files via email.

Might have ... But we would NEVER add more $$$$ to our Internet $$$$ .. Hell the MiFi is costly enough .. Compared to dial up....

But I was talking about Towers for Verizon cell phones as they use the same towers....

Carry on....

Won't be the first time that red beast has done the Dragon . . . like everyone else says, go mid-week.

Cornerspin Classes

mntflow and I were talking about trying to get a group together and heading down for class this fall. Sounds like everyone is busy, as usual, and I know we're running into prime time campout season too.

I talked to the Frontline dealer in Salem and they've been putting groups together and taking them to the classes. They have a deal worked out with CS and get some kind of break on the cost, depending on the group size. Just throwing this out, but they're working a group for the Oct 6-7 class. I'm signed up for it, but would be great if a couple other people would want to go.

If not, we definitely need to set something up for the spring. Cornerspin campout #1. We can get stickers and shirts and socks and if goose brings the bobcat, we'll have a mascot.

LInky http://cornerspin.com

I guess, let me know and I can communicate with Frontline if you're interested.

I figured. Your dragon sticker was the only sticker I kept on the bike when I bought it. I'm just trying to earn it now.

If I get down this year, early October will be my first available time. I want to try to hit before the leaves start to fall and before the "leaf peepers" (thanks LD) show up. I'll try for a mid week trip. Thanks for the recommendations.

I was willing to go in October but spring would be better for me. Between the campout at the end of this month bwdr mid next month and the rtb in Novemeber I would be safer at home if I waited til spring

Also if we are home, you are welcome to stop by the farm for a night...
