Guy might not have been friendly cause the dog may have been on duty. Notice the sticker on the chair.

There is also the added delays of riding in a sidecar multiplied by having a dog beside you. It is hard to stop without multiple people coming to talk and pet the dog. MC people want to chat, dog people want to chat, kids want to come over etc. 99% of the time it was fun, but on the few times where we had to cover some miles it was tricky.

Here's Bob waiting patiently for me outside of Hellbender's in Davis. He got lots of attention.

I like your set-up! My Husky is too crazy to sit still long enough for me to take a picture, much less sit in a sidecar while I'm inside eating!

The guy said he lived just down the road, he was out taking the bike around the block because it sits in the garage too long, and he likes just getting out of the house. I took that as friendly and as soon as I started chatting about dogs, bikes, and the trip I was on, he got all grumpy and rode away. Oh well, Still a pretty cool set-up!
