Just to rub it i...a valve adjustment on my TW is only one hour labor TOTAL. Thats it! I love this thing...

The Ninja was only an hour and half job to adjust the 8 valves. How many valves does yours have?

I'm just glad I sold the Ducati before I had to do a valve adjustment--although the procedure for that was actually simplier than the Vstrom! Only half the valves, too!.

...I had to look up what a CV joint was. I think if I ever build a custom chopper, it will be shaft driven and use a CV joint. It will have insanely long suspension travel just so I can justify the CV joint.

Valve adjustments on a 2-valve air-cooled Duc are not as bad as people think. While not cheap I find the maintenance to be less than expected and in line with other bikes, except for air cooled Buells with there belt drives and no valve adjustments. If you can't tell I am partial to Ducatis,

Alright. I can bring the pizza as usual. Thinking about leaving TW in the rain and using a brush to clean off some mud while I'm there. Just let us know. Anyone else game for pizza at skippii's (if he can)
