Good thing you are not supposed to lane split. I don't think you would fit.

Yeah... We saw that..
I really don't like the new looks of the Valk...
They took all the character away from it..
Should have left it with the ribcage showing ,as in the CTX..

But the New CTX 1300 looks sharp ..

Intro

I've been lurking for a month or so, and thought I should join the party. I'm a returning rider, with a '12 KLR650 after not having ridden for 30+ years. My son-in-law recommended the Cat Herders forum as the place to be, and he's gone on a couple of small group rides. I'm still relearning how to ride after too many years in a bucket seat, so am reluctant to do any group rides at this point. I don't want to be the anchor that drags down everyone's day. Still, I know that time will come. In the meantime, I'll lurk and enjoy the forum and hope to join you on the road in 2014. Cheers to all and Happy New Year.

Congratulations Ferdo!!

You have a good bike to get back into riding. The KLR is a real good do everything bike, with a proven reliability record. We were all either learning to ride or a little rusty after takeing a break for a few decades to take care of family and children. Anyone here you ride with won't mind waiting up at the next turnoff or intersection. It gives us a chance to take pictures or talk to other riders. You will meet a lot of good people here, watch out for the SMIBs and BWDR people , they are a bad influence ( especially the Clown. )

You may just have to get the Cat Herders to roll over and set em straight (though we may get lost, forget why we were there and show up after closing...) - HburgNinja

Welcome Ferdo! You have made an excellent choice of threads for your first post. I welcome you on behalf of the many KLR riders on ADV.

No worries being the anchor so long as you make sure ScottP (another KLR rider) is part of the group.

Love ya Scott!
