We look to government to remedy all our ills, all the while knowing how things are.

As bad as your HR department is, I bet they are 100 times better than the VA's. Hang in there!

maybe be, I recall the private company I worked for 15+ yrs ago was nearly as bad in many ways but in the private sector I can do something about someone's lack of performance much easier than here (at least I think I could?)

I also have a 6' wingspan delta wing kite. I've had it out on two 500' spools. I need to pull them out of the garage and find an open field to fly them in.
We love them there is just not much open space to fly them in.
One of my fondest memories with a kite would be hanging on the point at Hatteras with my father , kites tied to surf rods let out to the knot

Documentation my friend. Document every instance that is causing you an issue, present it to the offending employee and get their signature on it. Whether or not they agree with your opinion, get their signature on the notes that you at least held the meeting. When you have made every effort to improve the situation and the documentation shows that they are not able or willing to do better, you have all that you need to terminate. Frustrating for sure, but that's why you are trusted as a manager, right? Sometimes I miss the days when I just did my work and wasn't responsible for everyone else.

Everyone have fun and be safe this week-end.
Great pic goose - good luck on the kite flying, if she needs some practice, the winds tonight will make her a winner for sure

Oh no worries there it's all documented to the tune of about 18 inches of paper at this point, luckily this person is retiring in 3 weeks but apparently plans to make my life and several others hell in the meantime.

For a while I was flying them down in Bentonville next to the river where I work. It never worked out too well. I could stop a forty mile an hour wind just by setting up the kite to fly. Damn wind would always stop blowing!

Have you seen indoor stunt kites?

If you fly a kite today you might end up in Oz.

No more wall space... Free cabinets to good home. And by free I mean a 6 pack of Miller Lite. Great for garage storage. I'll deliver within reasonable distance.

pick me pick me

I do have beer, pick six from the selection.

Or, I'll get you a 6er of lite as you requested.

I can pick them up tomorrow morning if you don't want to deliver.

And then....we can go riding.

Dean, I'm heading to Kevin's in the morning.

If you don't mind me coming along, let me know when/where to meet up. I should be ready to ride about 10. I need to stake my tent before I leave.
