Hey, you still planning to ride the Ruckus all over the U.S. this summer? Any concerns some states may require that machine class to be registered and/or insured to use their roads? I figure you've researched that and am curious what you've found.

1 - checking to see if I can post this (looks good so far)
2 - Any suggested changes?

I figure that I'll head towards Hburg on Wednesday, then spend all day thursday moseying on down to TN on roads such as these.

Your thoughts?
Since you asked...
I know, different strokes and all, but I'm seeing a few interesting sections linked by a lot of sedate riding.

You may find this northern section more interesting, if that's what you're looking for:

That embed doesn't seem to be working right so here's a direct link to the map.

there's one young guy that I have to watch pretty close. He always distracting everyone with his tales of fast bikes and faster women

Its going well so far, just been there long enough to figure out how / who really work. And I'm loving the 6 minute commute.

Anyone know the roads in the Cacapon St Park area/north of Winchester, looking to see if I can ride from the fish hatchery at Ridge, WV on 522 up the mountain there in a slight northwesterly direction starting on Breakneck Dr then work my way up to the powerlines over to Mule Shed Trail to Critton Hollow East to Rt 9 at Largent and on to Paw Paw.

The park entrance is on 522 and looking at this map:

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ca...22739cf92b2152

There doesn't appear to be anything that cuts through.

couple years ago rode from winchester over the mountain to berkley springs on a paved/gravel combo, followed the river to little orleans, then up to the top of green ridge and back down to paw paw on mostly gravel. another paved/gravel combo takes you through mike's territory down through capon springs and over the mountain to wardensville. turn for home, or continue south on gravel. some surface mud if wet, but otherwise big bike ok.

Yes using google its always hard to tell reality, if you zoom in more you will see various roads/trails that suggest it may be possible?? See here, red line roughly follows the route I was looking to do. The area around the powerlines is a big unknown, usually such access roads are gated or posted.

I think the only way to Largent from US-522 without going all the way to SR-9 is south of Cacapon SP is by going west SR-127 from US-522.

At Forks Of Cacapon go right on CR-45/7(if the bridge is still there), then right on CR45/4, then right on CR-29/4. CR-29/4 may or may not go through to SR-9. It might take you to SR-29. My maps seem to be a little confused about were CR-29/4 actually goes.

You might be better off just taking SR-29 north from SR-127. 127 is a nice ride. It's been awhile since I did it, but I think 29 and 9 into Largent ain't bad either. I'd take the BMW.

Most of your red line is not on any of my maps, the parts that are show it as a foot trail.

These are not what I'm looking at right now, but you can DL WV county maps here.

I'm looking at Delorme's Topo NA. It hasn't let me down yet.
