Mike, I'm just learning about your amazing journey and was curious what kinda speed you're getting out of the loaded Rukus?

Edit: I saw on your blog 38mph on the flats and 45mph downhill.

Usually that is the case but ever since I've been in AK, I'm only getting 38 max. I was down to 30mph on The Dalton until I learned my belt had fallen to shreds. I replaced it and can only make 38 now so I'm planning to tear into the case soon and replace my variator and weights to improve speed and reliability for my zig zag run to Homer, Dawson City, Skagway and down into BC. Glad everyone is enjoying the blog/trip. I uploaded a few posts today to bring it up to date.

Beer battered Hallibut is not getting old.

Mike, been following your blog. Just totally in awe of you man. We were chatting with VALongbeard the other night and were wondering do you know if anyone from Honda is aware of your adventure?

Wicked

I don't think so. If they are, tell them to rewind the stator so I can run a heated jacket!

This is front page material...especially so because it's a Ruckus that's traversed the continent! Awesome trip HBN!

The Cats are everywhere

Someone may have already posted this one but just in case.

In the September issue of Surfer magazine is an article about this dude who is circumnavigating South Africa with a surfboard strapped on his bike. A CH decal is on the tank. Thought that was cool.
