Actually, I'm still in Roanoake posting from my phone. I just happen to have a good friend who was going to Roanoake today anyway. Looks like I'll be getting my grinder afterall. Anyone need some 16" $6 tire spoons?

There's no doubt that my luck sucks, but I can't blame this on luck. This was sheer stupidity.

Ammmm, MOST of it is sheer stupidity, we just say you have bad luck to not make you feel too bad...But as long as you're willing to tell it like it is...

I didn't know they had one there either. For you FOX, the one in Fredericksburg would be closer.

Yep, back now.
Rocking R probably does have angle grinders...but not for $14.99! I bought two--one for a backup.
Also got a new welding mask, metal blades, and a whole bunch of other stuff...$200 worth, in fact.

EVerytime I go to HF, I always buy 2. Usually the first one doesn't work or only works for a week.

Although I did buy a used HF jointer off Craigslist. Its been working fine. I'm not sure if that makes me cheap or extra thrifty.

I'm planning on swinging by the BWDR compound Saturday, but sadly will probably miss all the chainsaw juggling. I've got to pick the Sprint up from the shop in the AM.

Cool, sounds like you loaded up, Skippii!! You're right about having to pay a lot more than you did for a quality grinder, yet, one could easily last you the rest of your life. Mine's some 20 years old and, unlike me, not showing any signs of slowing down. One thing I've learned over these years of ammassing experience is the mantra "cheap is expensive" is based on reality! I've worn out a tool or two thus far
Good luck with your ongoing project; looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
