After Saturday's RTE to Flint Hill and chores yesterday, I got a wild hair (hare??) today to go back there and take some photos. I'll put these in the NOVA Chatter thread too . . . . . boosts my post count . . .

I-66 west to Markham exit; a well traveled Tag site!!

Leeds Church, south of Hume. An invitation to come in and partake . . . .

Along Crest Hill Road, you can still see smoke from the fires. The rain that came along later hopefully dampened things down a bit.

Home in horse country . . . .

The reason for coming out was this field and barn along Fodderstack Road, outside Flint Hill. I saw them Saturday but the light was hazy and flat, and the burgers were calling powerfully . . .

Today, the gray clouds and the winter landscape were compelling . . . .

Almost the same view sans toys . . . . . .

Not quite a flower picture, this one is for HBN and HBNette.

Caledonia Farm, just after turning north on Dearing Road.

Hittle's Mill, where Hittle's Mill Road intersects with 522.

Across the road from the mill is this stone outbuilding.

"Ghosts of the past, many winters, many summers, weary soldiers moving through, farmers, old, young, how much things hath these stones seen . . . . "

I rode only a few miles today but it was sweet. Dirt bike is all gassed up for the next wild outing
