So is this going to be the typical Cat Herders Tech Lunch of Skippii and I facing an entire pizza pie and getting little to nothing done? Is there going to be anyone else there?

If its slim pickin's, I may sit this one out. I was going to run by the garage during lunch to grab the BMW - going down to Staunton tonight to get some beer. http://queencitybrewing.com/

I got screwed again.
Looks like today's tech day will actually involve us patching a tire from the inside.
Only 700 miles on the bitch--had them mount a new one for me before I bought it.

IIRC, they used to have (acoustic) music, and you could "taste" test their beers. Nice scene...

Reviews said bluegrass on Friday night and three small samples. I'm just a sucker for IPA's and would like to try them out. Some mixed reviews out there. Any excuse for a ride is good enough for me. Gimme you interested?

On a related note, I took a little ride yesterday afternoon to try out the new helmet. Since I only had about 2 and a half hours, I decided to go to the Rapidan Wildlife managment area.

As far as the helmet goes I really like it. Comfortable, shield works well (may look into getting a darker tint possibly), venting is adequate, I really like the ratcheting device better than the standard D-ring; the only down side so far is that it is a bit noisy when driving down the road at speeds over 45mph. Oh well, that what ear plugs are for.

That is one of the places I have taken my bike a few times. Some nice jeep trails.
I "discovered" that area about fifteen years ago looking for steep little creeks to paddle. I've been over the falls in your money shot quite a few times, with alot more water of course.
I used to have a 4X4 van I used to take up in that area. Before the landslides years ago it was legal to drive the trail along the Rapidan the entire way and along the Conway river. Going through Devils ditch was interesting! After the slide obliterated some of the road(still passable) they put those berms up and made it illegal.

I read on some 4X4 forum the trail along the Conway is illegal now too. What a shame!

Very tempting, but those 5 tire changes the week of LFCO got me pretty quick with a tire iron--think I'm gonna try it myself again.

What kind of DS rubber are you guys riding on? Especially you KLR guys...

I'm tired of my Gripsters and was debating 606 and Mefo.

I avoid slab like the plague and probably do about 60/40 pavement/gravel-dirt.

Like to get some decent mileage. (I think Mefo's are unavailable right now though...)

XC are those Mefos? You likey?
