too bad you left your helmet on the ground like some greenhorn and blew it.

suckola. say hi to Annie and VR.

dude. this is about the bike on its own merits. you've mixed in a ride report of sorts into a bike specific thread.
On the contrary, the merits of the bike is that it took this beating in stride and kept right on running for the rest of the trip If that is not a testament to the merits of the GS...

Long overdue...

I have procrastinated long enough. I have met Oz, and survived his wrath - even with a little indigestion.

Oh great one - please direct your discerning look at my ride:

This is at a beautiuful hilltop rest stop in Missouri along some secondary 2-lane highway that my GPS routed to on the "shortest" path. The breeze was wonderful and so was the shade from the trees.

Hell I didnt think airheads were allowed-- in that case-- what is the deal with this one?

I realize the Texas sticker might disqualify me entirely, but I've gotten new bags since this was taken.

I have no idea what is possessing me to post my GS here for review. Regardless, here it is, before and during my most recent trip:

Dearest Bob,

Though our time together in Lima was all too brief, I have only the fondest memories of you. You are the rarest of birds, true to your avatar, and true to your bike. In this age of "whens the GS12 Adventure coming out I want to trade in my GS12" (for reasons unknown to trader) you've stayed true to your trusty 1100. Bravo sir. And a fine mount it is. Tastefully accessorised, though not overly, like some people from Colorado tend to do. It was good meeting you and chatting in the beer garden with you over our pork tenderloins. If you'd have shown proper respect and bought me a beer you'd be a shoe in. Too bad!

Your red GS1100 sucks the sweat off of George Thorogoods armpit.

To quote George's opening greeting to the crowd at Lima, "how sweet it is!!"

suckola Bob, top of the bleachers and all the way to the left.

next.

what can I say. other than posting some hot bitch, which nobody seems to be taking me up on except me, posting an 1150 at highway speeds showing those fine lines in motion is basicaly a bribe. cheating. shots got to be good though. this one is. proudly sporting the stock windshield, bags, seat, I can overlook the sheepskin this time.

Dantes Dame, your bike, does not suck. lose the sheepskin it makes us all look bad OK?

why not Aguie posts here? what can I say. If I ever get an airhead GS it'll be one of those Red and White Marlboro Man ones. There was one for sale at Lima with 125K on it for like $4500!!

Very clean and will probably run forever, I suppose I'm not the only one who likes them. The red and whote ones always look so beat up. Or well used. No matter, good shot, nice composition, good detail on a cloudy day. Stagehand, your bike does not suck. Buy me breakfast. Again.

I haven't forgotten you Victor. Nachtflug never misses a GS. He may pass on some, like that one with the pet carrier. But this picture is just too cool, right out of the Matrix. Victor, in the name of international relations with your GS brothers in the US, please take some time to show us some of the local curves from Guadalajara. The women. In bathing suits, on your bike. Go for it Victor.

Victors bike, not even afraid of a hurtling bus, does not suck.

I thought you said *ALL* airheads suck, somewhere back many pages ago?

Was the helmet thing just the double whammy?

Inquiring minds want to know.
