Dang, already!?!?!?!?

Hopefully it stays clear about 125 miles south of there in two weeks. I'll be riding in and around Murphy, NC the 14-16. Should be okay though.

Yes I would love a bigger tank too.

I'm tired of doing this....

A bigger tank would be nice I guess but at 156 miles yesterday before going to reserve I was ready for a break. I went 181 miles once and used 2.4 gallon, that was cutting it close.

they way it worked with the XT225 was everyone got together and talked with Clark USA to have a tank made. do a group buy / pre-order thing.

The 225 was out for 20 years before Clark even considered making a larger tank. I'd be all for one, but I'm guessing that if they made a tank today, they'd only sell 100 within the next month.

Question

hi sandalscout

do you know of any pictures of the XT250 with the tank removed ??

im sure there is a tank out there that could be "adapted" to fit.

Swamp, I've been meaning to look into this some more, the front mounting setup is different than most other offroad tanks I've seen, but I suspect SOMETHING could be made to fit.

Someone had some pictures of them checking their valves that would have been useful, but the pictures no longer are online. Here is a shot from the fiche though.

Another potential tank source may be the XTZ250 from Brazil. It's 4.2 gallons, but still metal, and may not be a direct replacement.

If my tire/tubliss does not come in today, I'll strip the bike down a little bit further and take some pictures and measurements, time permitting.

Glad you like it, I'm not even really sure why I put it out there originally, but if only one person finds something useful on there, it's worth it. Thanks!
