Nice video but was hoping for....

1- Nice Wheelie
2- You trying to cross the Missouri River.
3- You in a small crash.
4-Your Hot girl friend on your XT

(not in that order)

Thanks

New XT250 owner here!

Picked this one up two weeks ago. Previous owner said it had 1400 miles on it. When i test rode it before buying, i noticed that it was displaying km/h for speed. Got back and changed it over to mph and realized it only had 900 miles! Nice!

Long story, but I had to pull the carb to "fix" my own mistake... Here's my 08 model stripped down:

Turns out this is a really good way to get VERY familiar with a new bike... Haha!

I posted this up on XT225.org also, but the more places, the better.

I have found that WR250R/X engine plugs will fit on the XT250 and XT225. The slotted versions that come stock were getting torn up after just a few valve adjustments, so I finally ordered some Works Connection plugs:

Zeta Racing actually has the XT250 listed in it's application guide, and the following WR250R/X parts (from Zeta, Works, or other companies) will fit the XT250:

Front Brake res. cap
Rear Brake res. cap
WR250R levers

I'm planning on ordering a set of WR250R folding levers from either Zeta or ASV to fit to my bike. Zeta also has a front sprocket guard and a chain guard for the XT250 on their website.

What are owners getting for cruising range on the XT250? I live on the Big Island of Hawaii, and am thinking of an XT as my next dual sport. This is a very large island, and there are lots of dirt and gravel roads. some of the rides I am thinking about are pretty long, and they get out a long way from any gas stations. I'm thinking of eventually a ride from near Keaau (where there are two gas stations) to Kona, which will get quite remote. This is one point in favor of the smaller Suzuki DR200, which, I believe, has a 3.2 or 3.6 gallon tank.

Thanks, Jon

I usually get about 130 miles at about 2.0-2.1 gallons and then have about .5 a gallon in reserve. I think that 150-160 miles per tank (stock) is about right.

On another forum i saw someone had used a skidplate for the 08+ WR250R on their XT250.

Can anyone here confirm that this works? Or are there other good skidplates available for the XT250?

Immix Racing makes a skid plate for the xt250. I haver their rear rack and am very happy with its fit and finish. I plan to get the skid plate this Spring. Here is a link. http://www.immixracing.com/category/yamaha

Looking Nice...The weather warmed up a little today and the rain washed all the salt off the road so I took mine out for just a little spin. Boy I hate winter!!!
