Has anyone found shorty levers for the '09 KLX?

I cut the ball off the end of the clutch side to clear the handguard and it's looking like I'll be doing the same with the brake. I'd rotate the perches to clear but there's not enough slack in the cables. ASV and Moose don't list an application for the '09.

Trolling another site I've learned that the ball ends have a purpose; to keep the end from going through your hand in a crash. Sheesh.

I read where one guy shortened the stock levers and had the balls welded back on??? Guards are Acerbis Rally Pro with Bike Bonz inner mounts.

Wheeling Supply

On first page are the brake levers

http://www.wheelingcyclesupply.com/s...d=128&offset=0

On the second page are the clutch levers.

The Zeta's are nice quality, and a bonus is that the reach is adjustable too! If you have any questions, talk to Forrest - he provides top notch customer support!

Agreed on the cutting of the stock levers when using real enduro handguards...still safe. On the other hand, buying slick, trick levers is always an option.

KLX250S Shift Lever...

Hadn't seen a post for any aftermarket shift levers. I bent mine from the smallest of drops the other day, looked like it had been bent before as the case was scratched. Found one made by Driven, Part #DASC- 79: http://drivenracing.com/content.cfm/...0/name/dasc-79

Also, Happy Trails is carrying parts for the '09 KLX now.

Happy Motoring.

+the front speedo drive and seal

... not sure if that's it.

I just picked up a second set of '09 wheels on Ebay - so they are starting to appear.

I just picked up a 2009 KLX250 to use as a more dirt worthy dual sport. My other bikes are a KTM 300 XC and a KLR650. So far I am having a blast with the little 250. I am interested in adding some fuel capacity and have searched but need some clarification on fuel tanks.

1. The acerbis tank is out for me, my bike is red and since the tank only comes in green it would look like the bike belongs to Santa Claus

2. Will the Stock 2009 radiator shrouds work with the IMS tank? I found a couple of posts where people put that tank on newer bikes but can't tell if they where 2009 or newer?

Next on the list will be a FMF Q and a jet kit.

Anyone replace a rear turn signal yet. I can't find the plug for the wiring, it seems to disappear under the rear subframe, not sure where the plugs are located.

Take the lens off then pull straight out on the plastic insert that contains the bulb socket and the wires plug into the back of that socket. That insert also holds the housing on the stalk.

The CR high bend was all I could squeeze... I'm 5'11 and 180. In the trails I'd need another two inch rise to be comfortable. I actually thought about lowering the pegs to gain some...
