I've added the height of 2 plastic cutting boards to the base of the kickstand. I did cause the bike to sit a bit higher. I added a D606 which will cause the bike to sit higher and I've resprung it with stiffer springs.

Dude, Gotta comment on the paint-job you're rocking on your floor jack. Very Sweet.

BTW: My oldest daughter lives a couple miles down the road in Beaverton.

hey guys, i also want to know about the seat, do you know if i can make a new wider seat? they told me that the seat that i allready have is too narrow and i cannot make a wider one, there is no space

Hey guys,
Wondering if you guys know of anyone (other than Corbin) that is making a lowered seat for the KLX?
The folks at Seat Concepts only make a wider seat for the bike.

Guess I could use links to bring the bike down a bit?

FWIW, I'm a stocky, 5'9" old fart.

I have a Sargant on mine. Wider than stock and an inch lower. Pretty hard but I like it that way.

Talk to Seat Concepts, I think they can make lower foam.

their std seat is lower than stock anyway, so is the Sargent..... I need a taller seat

It's 100% better for longer riding sessions. I rode 4 hours yesterday, no discomfort whatsoever.

Talk to Seat Concepts they might be able to make a taller foam/cover.

Nate,

Seat Concepts can and have made lowered seats for the KLX250S. I know because I have one.

Go to the vendors section and look at the Seat Concepts thread. They can do just about anything you want. I really like mine. I'm 5'5" and it made a huge difference. I don't need the lowering links for now.

New seat with old foam comparison photos. The new seat is also wider in the rear and narrow in the front for standing clearance.

I see the '09 and '12 muffler for the KLX250s have different part numbers in the parts fiche. Can someone tell me what the difference is? Wanting to get a stocker for my '09 KLX. I see a '12 that I may can buy.
