Geek's Guide to replacing the TE610 Cam Chain

Hi Guys,

I did this 16 minute video for the guys in the Husqvarna TE610 thread and it was suggested I post it here for future reference.

Topics discussed:
1) Scope of the project
2) removing the old cam chain
3) comparing the old and new Cam Chain
4) installing the new cam chain
5) how to set your timing / using TDC.

Its boring. Unless you own a TE610 its probably not worth watching (and besides.. it'll stick that damn song in your head ).

cheers,
Edward

I am a glutton for punishment

Is there a down loadable version of this.
So I can watch it over and over and over?
thanks!

cam chain replacement for those without video?

Is there a good write-up of replacement for unfortunates with dial-up? I've seen several posts on this in the past, but can't find them using search. Also, isn't there a way to search this site using google? Thanks for any info. Robert.

Excellent!!!!..thanks for taking the time to do this....you've no idea how it can help folk in a place where there's no great dealer network or in a place where they shaft you for labour charges.....The USA seems to have it all sorted relative to customer care and pricing....you can end up spoilt without ever knowing it!!!

Yip...don't even have a Husq'...and yes the song stuck in my head as predicted...
