Yep, there we go. I recognized the Bud Light trucks and the '...-on Farmer and Company' sign as the local Anheuser-Busch distributor, and went straight to Leon Farmer's in Athens... 'cept it looked completely different from the pics.

Turns out there is another Leon Farmer's, in Gainesville, the one that actually was tagged.

Tuesday was a great day. I had a morning meeting in Dahlonega. Finished that up and rode 60 over to Blue Ridge and back. Checked to see where the Tags were and thought I would go after Lilo. I couldn't figure it out on my own so I went to the Gainesville Airport and asked around. Some guy there knew exactly where it was and Google Earthed it to make sure.

Co-ordinates 34.56492 -83.71397

I blasted up to Cleveland and grabbed her. I kinda thought Dirtdabber was on his way so I pushed pretty hard. There are two sets of runway heading markers (those orange "35 17" signs) and when I got to the first one I figured I had been beat. But I checked around and found the other sign and sweet Lilo.

We left a note saying who she was with but certainly not where she was going.

We had to stop for some gas, she's tired of doing that over and over again I think!

Phideaux sometimes moves the tag too far, but Lilo and he share some common interests at a not so far away place so it was not a very long ride.

This Tag is custom designed for Dirtdabber and SDVET. Have fun!

Lots of good memories of this place!!!!

I wish I could have back all those brain cells I killed on Saturday nights at this place. (Only to be found recovering the next day attending a unique kind of church just around the point)

Lilo is hiding sort of under this sign....

While I was there I made a quick repair of something on the GS and put my liner in my jacket. Headed back to Dalton and rolled into my garage about 11:30 PM. 360 miles.

Dirtdabber sorry I missed you.

Phideaux

I'm in Dalton too. Born and raised in Chatsworth. Phil, your GS looks so much like mine I bet people confuse the two of us. Do you do your own wrenching?

Phil? Phil? Is there a Phil in here? It's Phideaux....now in Murray County they probably spell that: FIDO!

Only time a dealers worked on my GS is when there was some ABS issue that needed to be checked out.

Sorry about the name. What happens when I assume I guess.

Just curious about the maint. I don't use a dealer either if I can avoid it. Do all my own work on my 535i and I'm wanting to start picking it up on the bike too, but just been so busy, haven't had time to gather tools.

I let Wes over at Apex in Ellijay do some work for me recently and was pleased with his work, attention to detail, and labor rates at least compared to BMW M of A.

Cool, thanks for pointing that out. I'll check it out more thoroughly tonight.

I think I've actually got most of what I need to for riding, plus some. I'm thinking more along the lines of tire mounting/balancing, Twinmax (or man-o-meter), fluid flush tools, good qiality torque wrenches, etc.

As a matter of fact I ride with a small Craftsman tool bag strapped to my back rack and really need to cull it down some. Just taking my time getting around to doing it.

No problem, just thought I'd give a shout out. Check out the site, I guarantee you'd get along great with the kits we sell... also, if you go through your current bag and find you are missing something, you can also purchase any of the tools we sell in the kits individually. Just something to keep in mind. Let me know if I can be of any help.

TAG ON!!! I have no idea where this new tag is but it looks like my kind of place.
