I've got my CRF/ XR 200 mutt for serious dirt and still have my SV650, at least until it's put back together. Still need to acquire a VFR, a BMW, and maybe another 4 cylinder GL. But the VStrom 1000 is so capable at everything, that I wonder why I want multiple bikes at all. Maybe just to keep the mileage off the mint Strom?

One, '85 Kawasaki ZN700 LTD. All I need for the moment, works well enough to get me stuck in random spots.

Who needs a modern bike?

Three that I ride. It's a rare day that I don't ride.
One project bike. (Is it a project if you're doing nothin' with it?)

'00 R1150GS: This is my main bike. My sea-to-shining-sea-and-everything-in-between bike. It gets me to work most days and serves as my long-distance tourer, twisties mount/sportbike and big dualsport on the gravel (and a few mountain passes ). It's my two-up ride, and my all-weather ride.

'02 DR650: My grab-it-and-go bike. My putt-around-on-the-gravel-roads bike. My bomb-down-the-gravel-roads bike. My scream-through-the-twisties bike. My sometimes commuter and sometimes long-distance tourer.

'97 Ural Deco Classic. My big-grins/putt-around-town rig. It's also great for errands, and I sometimes use it to get to work. It's awesome for taking people for rides.

'77 Goldwing. Mouldering in the car shed. I need to shoot some photos.

And I'm always looking for the next one.

All the best,
Chris
