Shut up about the shed, it's not all my mess.
So I was planning on putting KLX suspension on the RZ, but after sizing her up there was obviously going to be problems. ![]() Apart from it being way to narrow there were a lot of other problems so the idea was abandoned. Last time the old RZ was running I had modified it to fit KR1 swingarm, shock and front end so it looks like I'll have to use a KR1 wheel for the project. ![]() I did look at fitting a KLX wheel to the KR1 swing arm but the axial is way bigger on the KLX. So I decided to leave the rear for awhile and work on the front end. I pulled the old front end of and was shocked at the job I did at fitting the KR1 front end. The bottom bearing was a roller type but it still had the guts of ball type bearing in the head stock, the top retained the roller type. On inspecting it, it was plane to see that the KLX bottom bearing was way to big to fit, so I went in search of a new donor front end and finally decided on this. ![]() It's the front end of a XLV750 I had laying around, not the best choice but the closest fit I had. After finding the bearings and those steel insert thingys that the bearings run it and over coming a few small problems (they were just a tad to small to fit snugly in the head stock... So I set them in a layer of metal putty... Dodgy yes but when I said I was going to spend as little money as possible on it I new I would have to do shit like that) I got the forks fitted... ![]() Next the plan is to get back to the rear end, I have a shock out of a Dakar I want to try and fit, just to mix it up a bit...

For christ sake Trev put the poor thing out it's misery already...
You got guns? Stupid question of course you have guns, it's Queensland. Wire the thing to a fence post and shoot the shit out of it. Way more, fun and probably cheaper in the long run. Do it at night and watch the fireworks, ohhhhhh! pretty!

Nope, but I finally got the swing arm on...
![]() Took me a while to find all the right bolts. I'm a bit worried about the plates the linkage is bolted to, that bolts to the frame that I had to make. ![]() But I'm running out of time here and it will have to do for now. I have to put a tube in the front tyre (and I might try and find a more aggressive knobby while I'm at it) and hope I can find the rear axle so it will start to resemble a real bike...

Wheels are on.
![]() ![]() I'm going to see if I can do some fiddly jobs and then I'll call it a night I think. I'm kind of hopping I can't get it started, it has been raining here and that thing would be a hand full in the dry especially with that rear tyre...
