Baltimore city riders

I ride almost every day but the only time I see another motorcycle is when it's parked on the side of Charles or St. Paul Street. If you live and ride in the city, lets see your ride!

Here's mine, a 1984 Honda VF1100S Sabre. Not the best bike for the city but what a blast!

Does Towson count? I don't get into the city all that often, but I run down 83 and cut through the city over taking the beltway to to visit family in Glen Burnie every time I go.

Baltimore county...

Baltimore county weighing in. Oh wait, that's NOT MY SABRE ANYMORE!!! Somebody STOLE IT!

Left with just the XR650L and the FJR1300 now

Lets all meet up downtown some night, or Towson or? They are calling for tornados in the Baltimore area up until 7pm tonight.
BTW JayGatsby, I saw you leave when I was headed to the garage. Sabre still sounds SWEET. She has the honda purrrrr and growl at the same time.

Yeah I go to Towson. If the weather changes finally for the drier I'm definitely going riding tomorrow.

Also, I'm always up for a meet.

I'm from Bel Air too. 1986-2002. West Ring Factory Road in the house. Oh, and Pete: if it's not raining its ass off next weekend we should ride up to C.R. Wings in Bel Air. It's about time you tasted the best wings in the state.

Lets plan for it. Sat is busy for me with fruit pickup and delivery and another college visit for daughter. Sat college trip is local and should be over by dinner, but maybe Sunday would work better? We should get some of the local riders together. How bout 2 nice recent Baltimore county cycle pix! Ooooh, looks like my rear MEFO is starting to lose tread again Too much commuting on I95.

Motorbike parking in Towson

Is anyone aware of any free places to park a motorcycle in downtown Towson considered kosher by the local authorities?

Where are you trying to get to in Towson? I've had no issue parking mine in Towson Town Center or in the lot by Barnes and Nobles, but thats generally where I'm going. Most of the time I just walk though.

Thanks for the info. I was also wondering if you or anyone else has had issues parking in the public garages on Susquehanna Avenue. I didn't see any posted motorcycle prohibitions at the entrances of either garage, so I might give those a try too.

Just found this thread when it got bumped. I commute to work in the city 90% of the time. Only a short ride from Canton to Hopkins, but you'll be able to tell its me by the HiViz Olympia gear.

I answered my own question today after a brief recce. The public parking garage on the corner of Washington and Susquehanna Avenues offers dedicated motorbike spaces near the Washington Avenue entrance. Only a seven foot head space, so anyone riding a dual-sport or Adventure better stay planted in the saddle!
