The west is best in my opinion. Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada. Any state with lots of BLM land and mountains

East coast is not so bad once the weather cools off enough to keep the naked squid riders indoors. They comprise 90%+ of the motorcycle traffic around here.

IMHO, Pikes Peak is gonna be on the top ten list. 154 turns in 12.4 miles. Record in car is 10 minutes 1 second. Many bikes finish it in 12 and 13 minutes.

The roads in California are TERRIBLE! We have earthquakes every 20 minutes, houses cost $20M for a 1br and every road is straight and clogged with traffic.

Best to stay as far to the east as possible...

My brother and I took our first "big" trip this summer and my favorite roads were:

- Blue Ridge Parkway
- Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike (WV 47, VA 33)

I love the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just miles and miles of great scenery and until we got to the Asheville area, we could go miles without ever seeing anyone else especially at dusk/dark.

Deal's Gap was cool to visit, but I probably wouldn't go back for a long time and the Cherohala was really nice, but also very short.

a big +1 on those roads. Also have to add Vanocker Canyon (very close to Spearfish Canyon in SD)...I miss the Black Hills, Kansas sucks :(
