I installed the XL CalSci yesterday. It's the best I've tried so far but still WAY more noise and buffeting than my VFR and way more than a GSA. The XL does wobble a bit in the wind. The top of the screen is right in my sight line and is very distracting.

Getting very frustrated (that's 4 aftermarket screens now).

Not very on both counts

5' 9", 30" inseam. It's certainly expensive for what you get, but the buffeting from the stock screen's gone, and it works with handguards without looking through the screen, and it looks good.

Is that with your new Sargent seat, or the OEM normal height seat?

Edit: D'oh, never mind. I see it's the OEM.

I'll be interested to hear how it works; we're about the same size.

If anyone is interested, I will sell my BMW touring screen. Didn't work for me, but others seem to like it. PM me.

Don't think that'll work Steve. The plexi bits are differently shaped. The R12 plexi will hit/interfere with the top of the F8 screen. I had a R12 Spoiler a buddy gave me and tried it on my F8. I was able to exchange it here at TT USA for a F8-specific one...but haven't gotten it adjusted so it'll stay on yet....

I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam. Sargent is great. I still have to slide a bit fwd when coming to a stop.

I know they are listed as the same height, but with which seat is it easier for you to get your feet down? Did you have the stock standard seat before?

Stock seat/std. prior. Both exactly the same by sliding fwd. If I stay in the sargent pocket doubt that I would be better than tippy toe. If I stayed back on the stock seat...same problem.

Sargent is much nicer...as it should be!

TT R12GS Spoiler update

TT R12 Spoiler does indeed work on my TT F800GS screen but I don't think I would have gone this route intentionally. Having bought the F800 screen and discovering that @14 inches it wasn't enough, I purchased the spoiler in order to make the screen work? At nineteen inches total it does, but it's a tad cumbersome and awkward looking? If there is a bonus, it is that the spoiler can be moved from one bike to another very easily.

Cheers...Steve

Still looking for screen options

The M size CalScience didn't work out for me - I have the standard seat and it seems I'm just a bit too tall for the 18" screen to work. Wind hits me right on eye level.

Someone with the low seat and a bit below 6' might be VERY happy with that setup. I'm not so I'm selling (as I made a little scratch at one of the lower corners).

If someone is interested, please let me know. $50 below original. Pickup in the South Bay area (Sunnyvale) preferred.

Sorry about that--I didn't see you had the touring screen. The R12 Spoiler doesn't work with the stock F800GS screen....

SOLD - thanks all that were interested.

The more that I travel with the XL Cal Sci, the more I love my bike.

My dimensions are 5'9" with 29" inseam. Bike has the low seat. I look through the windshield 3-4" from the top.

As long as I have my sunglasses on, I can ride with the visor up on my helmet.

She ain't the prettiest, but for my application I have found nirvana.

As a side note, the brake fluid reservoir does not bobble with the Cal Sci installed.
