Dear TallGuy-09 can you please post a picture of yourself on the F800. I just want to see how big you would look sitting on it haha. I am not sure any aftermarket screen would even shield your head at all...

dude that bike and garage are way too clean No screen is best for me also but i run a 650 screen just to keep bugs and crap outta the gauge area. I'm considering a aeroflow for the colder months which are just arouind the corner here.

Thanks for the pictures and I see what you mean about the screens not measuring up to you.

You must have an easy time off-road being able to reach the ground so easily!

Is anybody here as tall as I am? Any experience in reducing the screen to a minimum height? I'm also considering the AirFlow screen X-Tall: for drivers 6-2" and taller with stock seat however not sure about the optics.

Maybe this one will do it for you -

For me no screen works best with regards to turbulence in general.
I'm wondering if the AeroFlow X-Tall would work for me with 6-5" height and an inseam of 36"

Good thing you're wearing your helmet!

metal mule

Since I purchased my panniers and crash bars from metal mule, thought I'd pick up the windshield as well. So far I'm very happy. Just finished a 3 day trip around the olymipic pennisula, found that it certainly deflects the main blast wave off my trunk and head, and as a bonus reduced the bug juice on the rally 2. Wind screens are a relatively cheap option

That looks really nice! Did you order it from Metal Mule in England or is there somewhere local to order from? And lastly, how tall/inseam are you?

Thanks!

I've kind of narrowed it down to the TT screen and the Metal Mule. Just trying to get an idea how they work for folks that are my size.

bestrestproducts.com in Seattle is the importer for metalmule products.

I'm 6' and the extra 8" over OEM is about right for cruising. If I'm heading out for more dirt I typically swap back for the OEM.

I'm 5'11"

I likes the TT screen.

Functional.
Durable.
Stylish.
Cheap.

The perfect compromise of protection and air flow for long miles in varying climates. For me at least...

Coming Soon!!!!

Alright everyone. Like most of you it's been impossible to find a windscreen that is a great balance of wind protection, noise protection.... oh, and doesn't look like a monstrous piece of crap! (no offense to the folks with the monstrous pieces of crap :)

Madstad has just released the 'robo bracket' and I am building an adjustable dual screen using the stock 800 screen, the OEM enduro brace, and a modified Powerbronze (metal mule) screen.

I'll post a pic when i'm done... although my final-final version will have anodized black brackets as my screens are tinted. I will also be sending Mark at Madstad pictures of my process - including the cutting and shaping of the 'front' screen.

The whole thing will be a sort of more affordable (and more adjustable) version of Touratech's Desierto screen.

stay tuned! cheers, Mark
