Easy install. Looks good. Very happy with wind/bug protection.
My preference was for a halfway height setting (I'm 172cm short).
If like me you have Barkbusters and a Ralle-Moto Steering Damper fitted you may find that the handguards foul at full lock.
With all set normal, the inner ally end of the Barkbusters will contact the edge of the taco's bottom half towards full lock.
After adjusting the angle of the Barkbusters they now comfortably clear the taco...unfortunately the outer plastic guard of the Barkbusters now foul on the tinted screen just before full lock. Raising the screen will allow full lock without contact.

Sooo I have to raise the screen from above my desired setting if I wish to turn the bike at full lock...not ideal.
No big deal whilst riding, but an issue whilst parking. More so in the event of a stack...Barkbusters vs pretty new screen...no thanks.

Anyone had the same dramas? I'm contemplating a little surgery...and the screen having a slight shave (<15mm) is possible.

Please be aware that this problem appears likely only if you have the handguards and the steering damper.
Without the steering damper there would be no problem...but I like my steering damp. And be buggered if I'm going bush without handguards.
I also have Barkbusters + steering damper and I can confirm that there's a small issue with clearance.

Based on your picture you have screen "version 2" with your Mirage. I had an old screen and had no
clearance issues....year later wanted to test out this newer screen (tinted, which was not an option in the
beginning) and it brought along these minor clearance issues.
I haven't switched back to the old version. It has not caused me enough grief/concern to make the switch.

Obviously, by adjusting the angle of Barkbusters one can play with the available clearance, but since the
barks are there for a good reason there's only a little room to adjust.

You could call/email Ian (from Britannia composites) and ask if he still has an older version screen in stock.
Based on my experience he provides excellent service and is a great guy to deal with!

I'll post a pic of the two different screens so you know what I'm referring to.

None of this barn door stuff.
Check 'em out.

Wanted to know if your Ztechnik Sport screen presents any instrument glare at night? Like the look. Just purchased a 2011 same color. Looks great. Let us know.

I have a slightly taller Ztechnik on my '11 F800GS. Love it. No glare and seems to be rather scratch resistant. Mine does just touch at full lock, but has never been an issue when riding or "gracefully falling over".

Not that I've noticed motoman. I don't ride too much at night though.
My bike is torn down for a short bit getting some work done.
This weekend I will be test riding and I will report back.
I think the look of the Ztechnik has a sporting look while providing good protection.
I can see over it when its filthy and its avoided damage in a couple of get-off (thank SW Motech crash bars).
Thanks for noticing!

I have the same screen, with Barkbusters which did just touch the screen on full lock, but know with a Ralle Moto damper and riser fitted, full clearance.

My bike came with the BMW touring screen. It caused very bad wind noise and buffeting (I'm 5'9.5") and a 30 IL.

I've removed it and fitted a standard screen with the touring bracket.
The Standard screen while not great is better than the touring .

Here is a pic of the Ztechnik medium touring screen. I am 6' and on the hwy wind hits on my outside shoulders and top of my helmet. Seems like a tough screen. With Rox Risers and how i have my bars positioned, it will just touch at full lock.

after trying several different windshields i settled on the MadStad. the only problem was i thought it was ugly. in an attempt to make it look better i had the mounting plate and the winglets painted to match the bike.

everything was good until.........the damn bike fell over in the garage and the windshield hit the corner of the work bench

a quick call to MadStad and a replacement windshield was on it's way. in the meantime i tapped the broken one back together. it worked surprisingly well.

overall i am very happy with the MadStad. it is quiet and the winglets keep the air off my chest/upper body.
