Classic TT one. I'm 6"0 and it's just right.

Loutre,

i am also 6.1 and interested in the TT screen. What do you mean that the screen is just right for you?

My main problem with the standard screen is wind pressure over chest and shoulders. Will TT screen cure that?

I have a standard seat.

the wind wont affect your chest anymore but will be deflected to your helmet. it's a nice little buffering but then again I was used to ride a 650gs single with the 'high screen' from bmw who deflected just enough wind to call it 'high screen'.

if you need it deflected over your helmet you can add a 'mini deflector' kit from touratech (or wunderlich) and fix it on top of your screen.

I also have the TT screen on my F658.

At 5' 9" w/30-31" inseam it took the pressure off my upper body and moved the wind to about the middle of my face shield. If I sit up straight (I tend to slouch a little) it will hit about the chin bar on my helmet.

I have not noticed any buffeting to speak of but at freeway speeds I do need to close my face shield. That's not really been an issue so far but I may add some type of mini deflector if I feel the need in the future.

Oh, I have the BMW comfort seat on the bike which I think is a little higher than the stock seat.

Jon...

Thanks Loutre,

sounds like the TT screen might be the one for me too! I like some fresh air on my face when I ride.

I have the black orange f800gs like loutre and I think the tinted looks a bit better...

I prefer the tinted one (that's why I bought it ) but either way they look good to me (actually I stood infront of the same dilemma as you: couldn't decide which one to pick and at the end I let my GF decide )

If it can help you here are the two screens (borrowed the pic from an inmate here... hope he doesn't bother)

but the "light" one it's getting too fast too dirty (I don't mind dirt but I don't like what it looks like on that screen )

hope this helps

Wow! That's great Loutre!

Really nice photos! I think that your GF is right

Tinted looks a bit more sporty and mean! And obviously not very dirty after a little while!

I think that I made up my mind and will go for the tinted TT screen.

Loutre, many thanks again!

Just got this BMW touring screen installed, I can feel the big difference between the original tall screen and the touring screen. Really like the touring screen.

I got the BMW headlight guard which I didn't realize was just plastic "eyeglasses" for my existing lights (and not some sort of wire frame). There's a little sticker that says "Off-road use only"...

I joked with a friend I'll solve the problem by removing the sticker, but why would they be for off-roading only?

Because the headlight-guards are not allowed in the normal traffic!
